Welcome from 2026 Chapter President
Greetings! January 1st, 2026, marked my first day as President of the CCIM San Diego Chapter. First, I want to recognize two leaders who helped elevate this Chapter through a true labor of love: Elizabeth Brignon, MBA, MSRE, CCIM (Libby) Brignon, CCIM (Past President, 2023–2024), and Eddie Colson, CCIM. (Immediate Past President, 2025). Because of their consistency, care, and commitment, our Chapter has grown its membership by 25% over the last three years and doubled our cash reserves. Thank you both for building momentum that benefits the entire San Diego commercial real estate community.
As we head into 2026, my goal is simple: make the Chapter more relevant than ever — by continuing the success of our networking events and bringing back a program that was once a cornerstone of the Chapter: The Lunch & Learn.

Why join the San Diego CCIM Chapter?
Brokers and CRE professionals join for powerful local networking and real involvement in the CRE community that drives better deals, career growth, and stronger relationships. And the numbers speak for themselves: According to The CCIM Institute, CCIM designees with comparable age and industry experience are reported to earn 25–30% more than non-designees, and designees report 40% higher transaction volume than non-designees.
A little about me: I earned my CCIM designation in 2023 and served as Chapter Vice President in 2025. I’ve spent 20+ years in commercial real estate and have represented 346+ building owners or occupants, totaling more than $117M in sales and lease transactions. In 2022, I became a Principal at Lee & Associates - North San Diego County.
Over the last 15 years, I’ve sold or leased more buildings in Carroll Canyon Business Park than anyone — including deals that set notable benchmarks:
9755 Birch Canyon Pl. (2020): largest lease ever signed in the business park
8320 Juniper Creek Lane (2025): highest sale price ever paid in the development’s history
Beyond that submarket, I’ve helped clients create meaningful savings and better outcomes through creative structuring and market knowledge — including a 2025 sublease at 13520 Evening Creek Dr. (Class A, 10,718 SF) that saved my client $991,000+ in rent payment obligations.

If you’re a broker, lender, owner, investor, or service provider in San Diego CRE, I’d hope to see you at an event this year — and I want your input too.
